Ecosystem: Core FrameworksIn Development

The Fusion Ecosystem.

A vision for compile-time Domain Specific Languages built atop the Braid compiler. These frameworks leverage the supercompiler to generate optimized bytecode at build time. Most are in the design phase.

The Idea: Compile-Time Frameworks

Traditional frameworks rely on runtime reflection, dynamic typing, and bloated middleware stacks. The Fusion vision is to use Braid's supercompiler to parse configurations at compile time, generate optimized .bx bytecode, and verify architecture soundness before deployment.

⚠Development Status

The frameworks below are architectural designs. The Braid compiler and supercompiler are under active development, but the Fusion DSLs (Nexus, Bond, Bridge, Arc) are not yet implemented. The web framework (braid-web) exists as a C library with 10 modules (~2,200 lines) but is not yet integrated with the Braid language.

Design Phase

Nexus

High-performance backend routing engine. The vision: pure C + Braid VM for socket connections, load balancing, and deterministic microservices. The braid-serve HTTP server exists today as a working prototype (~400 lines of C) with OpenAI-compatible API endpoints.

Design Phase

Bond

A UI framework for the deterministic era. The vision: execute DOM permutations via Braid's native C bindings. Today, the kernel has a working native UI shell with framebuffer graphics (appliance-os/native-ui/), but the web-based Bond framework is not yet implemented.

Design Phase

Bridge

The universal ORM. The vision: connect Braid structs with SQL databases via compiled query algorithms. Today, the stdlib has working database drivers: Redis (RESP protocol), MongoDB (Wire Protocol), PostgreSQL (libpq), MySQL, and SQLite — all implemented in C.

Design Phase

Arc & Fuse

Arc: distributed computing mesh. Fuse: mathematical validation proxy. The vision: pass-by-reference semantics across memory heaps with logic integrity verification. The Braid scheduler (work-stealing, green threads) exists as foundation infrastructure.

What Exists Today

✓

braid-web — C web framework with auth, rate limiting, middleware, events, jobs, metrics, tracing, policy, audit (2,200 lines)

✓

braid-serve — OpenAI-compatible HTTP inference server with SSE streaming (~400 lines of C)

✓

Database drivers — Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite — all speaking native wire protocols

✓

Raft consensus — Leader election, log replication, WAL persistence (949 lines of C)
